TYPES OF DATA RECOVERY
Recovery when the required data has been overwritten Accidentally ghosting an image over the top of valuable files is a very common form of data loss; it's also a technique used by disgruntled employees and criminals who wish to cover their tracks. By physically overwriting valuable data with other 'junk' data, you would think that the original data would be unrecoverable... You'd be wrong. We are able to recover original data that has been overwritten multiple times.
Recovery from severe mechanical damage - including head crashes A head crash is caused when the read / write heads of a hard disk come into physical contact with the disk surface that stores the information. Head crashes vary in severity but at their worst, the files on the hard disk can be rendered unrecoverable. Until now. Using a technique know as S F M, we are often able to recover data from severely damaged drives.
